Pat Alexander Sanford is the President, CEO and Founder of Alexander Perry Incorporated (API).
Ms. Alexander Sanford has over 16 years experience in the design profession. She has received numerous accolades for her work. Mrs. Sanford has created set designs and interviews at the Philadelphia Home Show for several noteworthy celebrities; including, the late Tug McGraw of Channel 6, Corbin Bernsen of LA Law, Andrew Toney of the Philadelphia 76ers and Edie Huggins of Channel 10. Also, she designed featured rooms in the Vassar Show house and Chestnut Hill for Charity.
She has received numerous awards, including the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency award for Outstanding Entrepreneurial achievement, Meridian's Bank Entrepreneurial Spirit Award, the Who's Who of Executive Woman and the Prestigious Paragon Award for her role on a team to Design a Custom Built Home in Chestnut Hill, P A. Ms. Alexander Sanford has also appeared on the local television show, "Visions" for her design work and was the designer for a featured family in the Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine as one of 3 top designers selected in Philadelphia. In addition, her work has appeared in the magazine, "Metropolitan Home", New York' s " About Time Magazine and was the front cover for the Philadelphia Tribune Magazine for top women businesses to watch.
Mrs. Sanford's Client List crosses a broad range of facilities from Corporate to Multi-purpose projects. Mrs. Sanford brings her high level of excellence, innovation and expertise to each design project. Her design philosophy ensures that quality is at the top of the list on every project. She assembles a design team of 13-20 professionals to ensure quality, and service, are at the forefront of every project., Some of the projects include: Philadelphia Phillies Ballpark, Philadelphia Eagles, Academy of Natural Sciences, Wills Eye Hospital, Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation, WDAS Radio, Althea Gibson Tennis Center, Word of Faith Christian Center, Bally's Park Place Casino, Marriott Convention Center Hotel, LL Cool J Youth Facility and Keating Building Corporation to name a few.
Mrs. Sanford never forgets her Public and Civic duties. She is a founder, serves on the Board of Directors and is Vice Chair for the African American Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Women President's Organization and the President’s Visiting Committee for the University of the Arts.
She has been recently appointed to the Mayor's Art Commission Board, and the Governor's Minority Advisory Committee. She is dedicated to her church and serves on the Pastoral Care and Comforter's Ministry. Also dear to her heart is the scholarship that was named in her honor for her design achievements, at the Potsdam School in New York given by one of two brothers.
Alexander Perry Inc, is recognized as a Woman owned business by the City of Philadelphia, National Minority Supplier Development Council and, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of General Services. Mrs. Sanford attended the University of Pittsburgh and studied Information Systems, is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia for Interior Design and Planning and University of Virginia's Minority Business Executive Program where she is a Darden Scholar.
